Accessibility options
Change text size, spacing, contrast and colour, or turn on the focus band, from the Accessibility tab on every screen of the employee app.
The employee app lets each person set how it looks and reads. The options sit behind a tab on the right-hand edge of every screen, including the sign-in page, join links and your organisation's support page. You can set things up before you have even signed in.
Where to find it
The vertical Accessibility tab, fixed to the right edge of the screen. Press it to open the options.
Text and spacing
Text size has three settings, Small, Medium and Large.
Line height adds space between lines of text, from 100% up to 200% in steps of 10%.
Letter spacing widens the space between letters, from 0% up to 20% in steps of 1%.
Contrast and colour
High contrast is a single switch for a higher-contrast display.
Low vision turns on high contrast and large text together, and turns both off again when you switch it off.
Light mode and Dark mode work as one choice. Picking one turns the other off.
High saturation, Low saturation and Monochrome change how strong the colours are. Only one can be on at a time; turn it off to go back to normal colour.
Focus band
The ADHD-friendly focus band dims the whole screen except a strip that follows your pointer up and down the page. It helps you keep your attention on one part of the screen at a time.
Starting again
Reset to defaults clears every accessibility setting in one go.
Good to know
Your choices are saved in the browser you are using, on that device. They are applied before the page appears, so the screen does not flash the standard look first. On another device or browser, set them again there.
Because the settings are stored only in your browser, nobody at your employer sees them.
If your browser blocks saved site data, for example in a private window, the settings still work but only for the page you are on.
On a phone, the app's menu moves into a bottom bar and a slide-out menu, with the same sections as on a computer.
Questions
No. They are saved per browser, so set them once on each device you use.
Yes. Press Reset to defaults and every setting returns to the standard look.
