How the platform works
What the platform is made of, which modules most organisations have from day one, and how a module gets switched on or off.
The platform is made of modules. Benefits is a module, so are Documents, Calendar and the wellbeing check-in. Each one is either on or off for your organisation, and that decides whether it appears in the menus at all.
A module that is off is left out of the menus altogether, in the employee app and in the admin portal, with no locked or greyed-out entry. So if a colleague at another organisation mentions a screen you cannot find, it is probably switched off for you.
Modules most organisations have
These are on from the first day for most organisations:
- Benefits, with every insured benefit a person is a member of and the support that comes with it
- Total Reward statements
- Documents
- People and departments
- Calendar
- Announcements, which your people see as the feed
- Reports
- The wellbeing check-in from the Intelligent Wellbeing Engine
The wellbeing check-in is on for almost every organisation, and nothing reaches your people until an admin launches it. The Intelligent Wellbeing Engine section explains how.
Modules switched on per organisation
These are built and in use, and stay off until you ask for them:
- Time Off, for leave requests, balances and sickness absence
- Recognition
- Company perks
- Timesheets and projects
Each has its own page saying what it would give you, so you can decide before you ask.
Always there
Some parts of the platform have no switch. Signing in, the inbox, My Profile and Settings are part of every platform, and so is the Accessibility tab on the right of every screen. Your support directory has no switch either. The Help panel, with its chat to our team, is on for every organisation today.
Switching a module on or off
You cannot switch modules from the admin portal, and there is no settings toggle to look for. We make the change from our side, so that nothing your people rely on disappears by accident.
Reply to any email from us naming the module and whether you want it on or off, or write to hello@alltoogether.com.
We switch it from our side and confirm by email. There is no form and nothing to install.
The module appears in, or disappears from, everyone's menus the next time they open a page.
If you are not sure whether ours replaces something you already pay for, say so in the reply. We would rather tell you it does not than have you cancel something you needed.
Good to know
Switching a module off hides it from your people and from your own portal. It does not delete what is in it, so a module can come back later.
Two modules need a conversation rather than a one-line reply. Time Off is only useful once your leave year and leave types are set. The wellbeing check-in is launched by an admin from your own portal, when you choose.
Your people are not told automatically when a module appears. If you want them to know, post an announcement.
Questions
No. Module switches are made by us, on request. Everything inside a module that is yours to run, you run yourself from the admin portal.
It is switched off for your organisation. Ask us and we will tell you what it does and switch it on if you want it.
Yes. Each page or section starts with a badge saying whether the feature is on for most organisations, switched on per organisation, or part of every platform.
