Dynamic Signposting

Dynamic Signposting is a proprietary feature of Alltoogether's Intelligent Wellbeing Engine that automatically routes employees to the correct support pathway within their existing benefits policies when a health or wellbeing risk is identified. Unlike static EAP referrals or generic resource lists, Dynamic Signposting maps flagged risks to specific provisions - physiotherapy via cash plan, counselling via PMI-embedded EAP, mental health support via group income protection - ensuring employees reach the right resource without needing to navigate the system themselves.

The gap between having benefits and using them

UK employers invest significantly in employee health benefits. PMI, EAP, cash plans, income protection, dental cover. The investment is genuine. But utilisation data tell a different story.

5-10%
Typical EAP utilisation rate across UK employers
25%
Employees who are unaware of what benefits are available to them
38%
Employees who feel their benefits do not meet their needs

The problem is not the benefits. The problem is the distance between the employee who needs help and the moment they discover it exists. Most employers rely on the employee to self-identify their need, self-navigate the benefits landscape, and self-refer to the right service. Dynamic Signposting removes all three steps.

How Dynamic Signposting works

1. Employee completes a check-in

The IWE's Health Screener measures workplace conditions (JDR framework) and personal health indicators (anxiety, low mood, sleep, musculoskeletal discomfort) using validated instruments.

2. Risk is identified

Validated thresholds flag when an employee's responses indicate elevated risk. This is not a mood score. It is a measurement against peer-reviewed benchmarks.

3. Benefits are mapped

The system knows what benefits the employer provides and what each policy covers. It maps the identified risk to the specific provision that addresses it.

4. Employee is routed to the right support

The employee receives a direct pathway to the specific service - not a generic list, not a poster, not a phone number from an onboarding pack. The actual service, with access instructions, matched to their specific need.

Why this doesn't exist anywhere else

Standalone wellbeing tools Standalone wellbeing tools measure risk but have no connection to the employee's benefits. They can tell you someone is stressed. They cannot route them to the EAP their employer already pays for.
Benefits platforms Benefits platforms show employees what they have but do not measure whether they need it. Visibility is not the same as intervention at the point of need.
Traditional brokers Traditional brokers manage policies but have no mechanism to connect an employee's health data to the support pathway inside those policies. Dynamic Signposting sits at the intersection of all three.

Example pathways

Elevated anxiety detected - PMI mental health pathway - Direct access to counselling sessions

Musculoskeletal discomfort flagged - Cash plan physiotherapy benefit - Claim instructions and provider details

Work-related stress identified - EAP via employer's group policy - Confidential helpline and session booking

Low mood screening threshold met - Group income protection wellbeing service - Early intervention support before absence

Every pathway uses services the employer already pays for. No additional cost. No separate vendor.

Privacy-first by design

Dynamic Signposting is built on a strict privacy architecture. Individual health screening results are visible only to the employee. Employers never see individual data. Managers see anonymised, aggregated team-level patterns only, with minimum group sizes enforced to prevent identification. The system is GDPR-compliant and designed so that employees can engage with complete confidence that their personal health information remains private.

Frequently asked questions

What is Dynamic Signposting?

Dynamic Signposting is Alltoogether's proprietary system that automatically routes employees to the correct support pathway within their existing benefits when a health or wellbeing risk is identified through the IWE's screening process.

Does my employer see my individual results?

No. Individual screening results are private to the employee. Employers see only anonymised, aggregated data at team and organisational level.

What benefits does it connect to?

Any benefit in the employer's package - PMI (including mental health pathways), EAP, cash plans (physiotherapy, dental, optical), group income protection wellbeing services, and occupational health referrals.

Is this an additional cost?

No. Dynamic Signposting is included as standard when you switch to Alltoogether. No platform fee. No management fee.

How is this different from an EAP?

An EAP is one service. Dynamic Signposting routes employees to whichever service in their benefits package matches their specific need - which might be the EAP, or might be PMI, cash plan, or income protection support. It uses the full benefits infrastructure, not just one pathway.

The benefits are already paid for. The employees are already there. Dynamic Signposting is the bridge between the two.
