Recognition and rewards

Set your company values for peer recognition, watch recognition activity, and run a coin reward scheme if you have one.

Switched on per organisationThis is built and working, and is switched on for each organisation on request. Ask your account manager, or reply to any email from us naming it.

Recognition lets your people thank each other in the app, tagged with one of your own company values, in a feed the whole organisation can see. You set the values and watch the activity from the Engagement page. Where coin rewards are switched on as well, recognition and other activity earn coins that your people can exchange for gift cards.

Where to find it

Engagement under Insights in the admin portal, and the Company values card under Settings.

Set your company values

Under Settings, create the values your organisation stands by. Each value has a name, a description, an emoji from a picker and a colour. Your people choose one of these when they recognise a colleague, and can filter the recognition feed by value.

You can edit or delete a value at any time. Deleting a value removes the tag from past recognitions but keeps the recognitions themselves.

Watch recognition

The Engagement page opens on an overview with the total number of recognitions given and how many different people have given one. The recognition tab shows each post with its title, message, who gave it, who received it, the date and the value it was tagged with. It is there so you can see how recognition is being used across your organisation.

Coin rewards

Switched on per organisationThis is built and working, and is switched on for each organisation on request. Ask your account manager, or reply to any email from us naming it.

With coin rewards on, your people earn coins for things they do in the platform and exchange them for gift cards from our gift card partner. Each organisation's coin settings are created automatically with standard values, ready for you to adjust.

Set the coin economy

On the coin economy tab you set:

  • how many coins make a pound
  • the smallest coin balance someone can redeem
  • whether a streak bonus applies
  • monthly and annual caps on what one person can earn.

A separate earning rules panel lists each activity that can earn coins: completing a survey, completing a health screener, completing onboarding, giving recognition and receiving recognition. For each one you choose how many coins it pays, whether it is active, and optional daily, weekly or monthly caps. Once someone reaches a cap, that activity pays no more coins until the period resets.

When someone gives recognition, coins go to the giver and to the person recognised, using your earning rules.

Choose the rewards

On the rewards catalogue tab you choose which gift card brands your people can redeem coins against. For any brand you can set a maximum redemption value lower than the brand's own limit.

Fund the scheme

The funding tab shows your organisation's rewards balance and its status. When it needs topping up, request a top-up from the same tab. The request is sent with your email address attached.

Redemptions

Gift cards are ordered on your organisation's own rewards account with our gift card partner. If an order fails, or your rewards account is not fully connected yet, the coins go straight back to the person's balance.

Good to know

  • Recognition is visible to everyone in your organisation.
  • Recognition earns coins only when Recognition and coin rewards are both switched on. We switch each of them on per organisation.
