Settings and branding
Keep your organisation profile and logo current, set your leave year, leave types and bank holidays, and manage company values and timesheet approvals.
Settings holds the details that shape how the rest of the platform behaves for your organisation: who you are, what your logo looks like, when your leave year starts and which bank holidays you observe. Some cards only appear when the module they belong to is on for you.
Where to find it
Settings, at the bottom of the sidebar in the admin portal.
Organisation profile
The profile card shows your organisation's name, Companies House name and number, sector, website, phone, address, timezone, your employer ID, your plan and how many active employees you have. That headcount is counted live from your roster.
Press Edit to change the name, Companies House details, sector, website, phone, address, timezone and a short "about the company" description.
Branding
Upload your company logo from the same Edit form. It can be a PNG, JPG, SVG or WEBP file of up to 2MB, and you can remove it again.
Your logo appears at the top of the sidebar on every admin screen, next to your organisation's name, and in the employee app your people use. Until you upload one, a placeholder with your organisation's name is shown.
Leave year
Set the day and month your leave year starts, and the most unused annual leave days anyone can carry into the next year. Days above that limit are lost when the year turns. This card only shows when Leave is on for your organisation. See Leave.
Leave types
Define the kinds of leave your people can book, such as annual leave, sickness or study leave. For each type you choose:
- its category, and whether it is paid
- whether it needs approval
- whether it comes out of a yearly balance (with a default allowance and its own carry-over limit) or is unlimited
- a colour, and a minimum notice period in days
You retire a type you no longer use, and can restore it later. You can only have one active annual leave type. The first time anyone opens this page for a new organisation, five standard leave types are set up to start from.
Bank holidays
Choose which official bank holiday calendar your organisation observes. England and Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland are always offered. Your choice sets the non-working days on your people's calendar and home screen, in leave day counts, on timesheets and for company closure days.
Calendars for Spain, Romania, the United States and individual US states are available once we switch them on for your organisation. Where individual calendars are switched on, this card also reminds you that you can give one person their own bank holiday calendar from their employee record.
Timesheet approvals
A single switch. When it is on, project time is submitted weekly and has to be approved by a project lead or an admin before it locks. When it is off, the timesheet is a simple log with no approval step. The card only shows when project time tracking is on. See Projects and timesheets.
Company values
Create, edit and remove your organisation's own values, each with a name, a description, an emoji and a colour. Your people tag their recognition of colleagues with one of them. If you delete a value, past recognition that used it keeps its message and loses the tag. See Recognition and rewards.
Good to know
- You cannot switch modules on or off from Settings. We set them from our side, so ask us. A module that is off does not appear in your sidebar at all.
- If your organisation has an HR system connection, its status card is here too. See HR system sync.
- The Sign out button is at the bottom of the Settings page.
- Every page of the portal links to our privacy policy and terms in its footer.
Questions
Ask us by email or through the chat in the portal, naming the module. There is no switch in Settings for it.
You retire it instead. It stops being offered and can be restored later.
Pick the one most of your people follow. If individual calendars are switched on for you, set the others on each person's record.
