Home and your feed
What you see on the home page when you sign in, and how the company feed and announcements work.
The home page is where you land every time you sign in. It pulls together your next days off, upcoming holidays, colleagues' birthdays and the latest from your company. Everything on it is a shortcut into a fuller page, so you can start here and go deeper when you need to.
Where to find it
Home, at the top of the menu. It is always there, whatever else your employer has switched on.
What is on the home page
The page opens with a greeting using your first name and today's date. If your employer uses coins, your coin balance sits beside it and opens your coins page.
Below that is a row of shortcuts. Which ones you see depends on what your employer has switched on, and a shortcut for something that is off is simply not shown. They can include completing your wellbeing check-in (it reads "Done for this round" once you have), booking support, giving a colleague recognition, and exploring your benefits.
The cards further down follow the same rule. Each appears only when the part of the platform behind it is on for your organisation.
- The My Leave card shows your next few bookings, pending or approved, with a status for each. Consecutive days are shown as one range, so a three-day break reads as one line. The Manage Leave link opens your Time Off page.
- Next Holidays shows the next company and public holidays that apply to you, with a link to the calendar. Bank holidays follow your own region. Bank holidays are left out for contract staff.
- Birthdays lists colleagues with a birthday in the next 30 days, with their name, department and the date. It never shows anyone's year of birth or age.
- What's New mixes the latest company posts with any recognition you have received, newest first. Five show at first; Show more reveals the rest, and View All opens your feed.
If your employer runs the wellbeing check-in, a summary card shows how many check-ins you have taken part in and how many support services come with your benefits, with a link to browse them. It never shows a personal wellbeing score on the home page. There is more on this in the wellbeing section.
Banners
From time to time a banner on the home page asks you to do something. It goes once that is done.
A welcome survey banner appears once, for people new to the wellbeing check-in. It takes about two minutes, and it disappears for good when you have finished it. Another appears when a health screener or onboarding survey is due, with a Start Now link and a reminder that your responses are confidential.
Where your employer uses company documents that need reading (switched on per organisation), a banner shows how many are waiting for you, with a Read Now link to your documents.
Your feed
Feed is a timeline of what your company has posted, alongside the recognition you have given or received and your coin activity where coins are in use. Newest items are at the top.
Tabs along the top narrow it down to Benefits, Coins, Recognition or Announcements, or show everything with All. Open a card to read the full post. Some posts carry a link, either to another page in the app or to a website. Load More brings in more items when you reach the bottom.
Announcements
Announcements are written by your HR team. Each one is aimed at an audience, which might be everyone, one department, one location, or the members of one benefit policy. You only see the posts aimed at you. A post about a policy you are not on, or a department you are not in, will not appear in your feed.
When an announcement is published, the people it is for also get an email, unless they have turned email notifications off. You can do that in Settings. The post still appears in your feed either way.
Good to know
- Your department and location come from your employee record. If posts meant for your team are not reaching you, ask HR to check those details on your record.
- The menu shows only the parts of the platform your employer has switched on. If a colleague at another company mentions something you cannot find, that is the likely reason.
Questions
Each card belongs to a part of the platform, such as leave, the calendar or the people directory. If your employer has not switched that part on, its card is hidden. The My Leave card also has nothing to show until you have upcoming leave booked.
No. The birthdays card shows the day and month only. Your full date of birth stays on your record.
Use recognition, if your employer has it switched on. Recognition you give or receive shows in your feed under the Recognition tab.
No. Every announcement aimed at you still appears in your feed and in What's New on the home page.
